P126/2 Lyrics & meaning

What it’s about

A song about the second-generation Tesla Roadster, sung from the driver's seat. Tesla unveiled the car on 15 October 2026 at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas, where it drove upside down on a ramp and used thrusters to jump over a truck and other cars. The verses read like a spec sheet: zero to sixty in 0.81 seconds, up the wall at ninety degrees, sixty-nine feet up, 4,698 kilos, ten thrusters, six hundred liters, ten thousand PSI. The chorus asks to be held upside down with the wheels on the ceiling. Verse two recalls that the car was first shown rolling out of a Tesla Semi, while the first Roadster still circles the sun. The video labels the pilot Claudia, and the hook says flying cars are real.

Names and terms

Tesla Roadster
Tesla unveiled the second-generation Roadster on 15 October 2026 at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas. It drove upside down on a ramp and used SpaceX thrusters to jump over vehicles; Tesla claimed zero to 60 mph in under one second and production from 2028.
Downforce
Force that presses a car onto the road, from wings or from fans that suck air from under the car. With enough of it a car can in principle hold on to a ceiling; reports from the reveal said the Roadster used a suction system to drive upside down. The song names four fans.
Born in a Semi
Tesla first showed the second-generation Roadster on 16 November 2017, when it rolled out of the trailer of a Tesla Semi at the Semi's unveiling. The video's caption notes this, then shows the car flipping over a Semi.
My sister's still in orbit
Elon Musk's own first-generation Roadster, with a mannequin called Starman at the wheel, was launched on the first Falcon Heavy flight on 6 February 2018 and is in orbit around the sun. The video shows it above the Earth.
Where we're going, we don't need roads
Doc Brown's closing line in Back to the Future (1985), said just before the DeLorean takes off as a flying car.
Kickflip
A skateboard trick in which the board spins along its long axis under the rider. Here the car does it over the lineup of parked vehicles.
Flying cars are real
The caption of anabology's post and the song's hook. The video shows it as a quote card dated to the reveal.
