P134/2 Lyrics & meaning
What it’s about
A gentle country-folk song in the style of a children's story. Little Muse, a small woolly character with a guitar and a too-wide hat, leaves his clover patch to look for love. He asks around town, tries the church picnic and the fair, and loses his words when he meets people. By a river he meets a girl mending a kite, they fly it together, and the song ends with the two of them walking the dirt road. It is not satire in its words. The post, by Alexandr Wang, Meta's chief AI officer, calls "muse" the hero of a love story.
Names and terms
- Muse
- The hero's name. The poster is Alexandr Wang, who leads Meta Superintelligence Labs, whose first model was Muse Spark (April 2026). The post does not say the character stands for that model, so no link is claimed here.
- Alexandr Wang
- Chief AI officer at Meta, founder of Meta Superintelligence Labs and of Scale AI. He posted this clip on X from his own account.
- Muse Spark
- First model from Meta Superintelligence Labs, launched 8 April 2026 and used in the Meta AI app. The song never mentions it.
- Counter store
- Heard the same way in both transcripts and in the video captions. It reads like a general store; the exact intended phrase is not confirmed.
- Danced the square
- Square dancing, a country-folk dance with set figures. It fits the Western town setting of the video.
- Cattails
- Tall marsh plants with brown seed spikes, growing by the river where the hero meets the girl.
Little Muse: lyrics
Verse 1Little Muse had a hat too wide and a pocket full of rhymes.
He left his patch of clover at dawn to find a love that felt like home.
He asked the keeper of the counter store and the postman at the gate.
Have you seen a heart that might fit mine? I fear I'm running late.
ChorusOh, Muse, keep walking that old dirt road, past the fence where the wildflowers grow.
Love may be nearer than the next bend shows, so tip your hat and take it slow.
Little Muse, with your hopeful tune, you'll find your someone underneath this wide blue moon.
Verse 2He tried the church picnic, tried the fair, shared his pie and danced the square.
But every time he found a smile, his shy words wandered off a mile.
Then by the bridge where the cattails lean, a girl was mending a kite.
She said, you look like you've lost your way. He said, maybe I have, but you're a lovely sight.
ChorusOh, Muse, keep walking that old dirt road, past the fence where the wildflowers grow.
Love may be nearer than the next bend shows, so tip your hat and take it slow.
Little Muse, with your hopeful tune, you'll find your someone underneath this wide blue moon.
Verse 3They tied the kite with a piece of twine, watched it climb through the afternoon.
She laughed when his hat blew down the hill. He ran after it and she ran too.
Final ChorusOh, Muse, now walk that old dirt road, two sets of steps where the wildflowers grow.
Love was waiting where the river bends slow, a shared small laugh, a hand to hold.
Little Muse, beneath the evening blue, you found your someone and she was looking for you.
OutroLittle Muse, don't wander far, love came walking where you are.
Where you are.
